SUSTAINABILITY
I am committed to being kind to our Mother Earth.
Each piece of jewelry is made by hand here in California by me and my small team using minimal waste practices.
I am proud to source from companies certified by SCS Global Services for 100% recycled content in their metals, and I have made it part of my design process to either recycle, or melt down and reuse all metal waste from previous designs into new creations whether it be castings or fabricated pieces.
ETHICALLY SOURCED DIAMONDS
All diamonds used in Amanda Hunt designs are either recycled or conflict-free. Our conflict-free diamonds are sourced exclusively from Canada for their high quality and the transparency of their origins. Each Canadian mined diamond arrives to me with details of its journey from mine to market.
NO PLATING
Plating involves the use of cyanide or other toxic chemicals. Although these can be neutralized, in practice, electroplating can still be an environmentally unfriendly industrial process with potentially negative impact. Our metals are solid through and through. By embracing the natural metals without plating, there is no risk of “polishing away” or “wearing away” a coating. I encourage you to celebrate each metal as a natural material from Mother Earth and embrace the organic patina over time. But if you’d rather keep your metal nice and shiny, check out the tips in JEWELRY CARE for each specific metal.
ECO PACKAGING
All designs are shipped in a compostable mailer with a compostable label, sealed with 100% plant-derived and naturally biodegradable tape.
Inside your jewelry is nestled in a reusable jewelry box with no logo, so it gives you more flexibility for regifting.
